Pixel Analytics Suite — Last updated: August 17, 2026
Overview
Pixel Analytics Suite is a browser extension that helps you inspect tracking pixels (Meta, TikTok, Google, Pinterest, LinkedIn) on the pages you visit. This policy explains what data the extension processes and how.
What the extension processes
1. Data processed locally on your device (never transmitted):
- The URL and title of the active tab, used to associate detected events with the page you are viewing.
- Network request URLs to known tracking endpoints, used to detect which pixels fire and which events they send.
- Page context such as
window.fbq, ttqanddataLayercalls, used to capture event parameters. - The inspection results shown in the side panel.
All of this data exists only in the open side panel on your machine. It is not stored, logged, or transmitted anywhere.
2. Local storage (chrome.storage.local):
The extension stores three values on your device, all entered by you in the options page:
- Your optional server-side tracking worker URL.
- Your access token for that worker.
- A boolean preference (whether you dismissed an informational banner).
These values stay on your device and can be deleted at any time from the extension options.
3. Optional connection to your server-side tracking worker:
If you configure a worker URL and token in the options, the extension queries that worker to display events collected server-side. This communication goes only to the URL you entered and is protected by the token you configured. We (the developer) do not operate any server and do not receive any of this data.
What the extension does NOT do
- It does not collect, store or transmit browsing history, search history, passwords, or any personal data.
- It does not use analytics, tracking or advertising of its own.
- It does not sell or share any data with third parties.
- It does not load remote code: all code is included in the extension package.
- It does not block, modify or intercept network requests; it only reads them.
Permissions explained
The extension requests only the permissions needed for its single purpose (inspecting pixels):
activeTab, storage, webRequest (read-only),
sidePanel, scripting, tabs, and host permissions to
observe tracking endpoints and to run on the pages you visit. A full justification for each
permission is provided in the store listing.
Third-party services
The websites you visit may send their own requests to ad platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google, etc.) as part of their own pixel implementations. Those requests are made by the websites' own code, not by this extension, and are governed by those platforms' policies.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes to this policy, we will update this page and the extension listing accordingly.
